China’s 5 Best Naked Bathing Areas....

Communal and co-ed nude bathing: for several Chinese minorities, nude bathing has long been a part of their traditions. It may not be purifying yourself in the waters of Lake Minnetonka, but here are the best five best places in China for nude bathing; you can leave those bathing suits at home..

China's Nude Bathing Areas

5) Hmong Nude Bathing

Every year on the thirteenth day of the seventh lunar month, the Hmong celebrate their harvest with the Chixin Festival, meaning “eat the new.” Before the festival, the people all make sure that their cows and horses are well-fed and fat with meat. Girls wear their prettiest clothes and decorative hats. Young men are busy practicing their wood reed flutes. Chixin Festival also has a “love ceremony” that involves groups of three to five young men and women gathering together in one place and having fun…

4) Nude Bathing in “Imperial Hot Springs” with the De’ang Minority

In 1985, the De’ang minority was finally given a name. They live in western Yunnan (云南省) and are known for theirs customs of nude bathing and male/female communal bathing. The area is full of natural salt and coal springs. The largest spring, known as the Dragon Pool, enjoys the shade of an imposing, ancient pagoda tree. Amazingly, the 50-degree water has not only not destroyed the tree, but rather preserved it in a healthy, young state. The Dragon Pool got its name because the water flowing out of the pool looks like a dragon spitting. It was also the pool that only the highest officials were allowed to bathe in. The common folk and even low-level officials had to go to the other pools to bathe.

3) Chongqing Girls Nude Bathing Area

East Spring Village, located near the mountains in (重庆) Chongqing’s Ba’nan District, according to the local legend, has springs that can cure blindness. Some of the springs are in secluded areas, and people take advantage of the isolation to bathe naked. Having a history dating back to the Ming Dynasty, East Spring Village is now experiencing a large influx of tourists who want to try the local tradition of nude bathing themselves.

2) Mosuo Communal Bathing

The Mosuo (摩梭) believe that hot springs can cure diseases. They also use hot springs as meeting places. After a hard day’s work, three or four friends will meet up and eat, sing, and relax in a hot spring. During the Cultural Revolution, local officials thought this practice was uncivilized and they added walls to separate men and women. Over time, however, the Mosuo began taking down the walls until the point that they hardly existed. When the area was open for tourism in the 90s, the government forcibly separated male and female bathers. Eventually, the area was reopened for communal bathing after the government realized its value to the local Mosuo people.

1) Nu River Valley Hot Springs

The Nu River is simply full of hot spring areas. You can camp out in the area in tents the locals rent out for very cheap. The Lisu minority occupy this area, and they normally bathe in the hot springs. Men and women bathe at the same time and they believe that the water is sacred and can bring good fortune.

At a crucial moment, a female police officer who was driving by volunteered to climb onto the building’s roof and find a way to get close to the female. Over one hour later, this female flipped over the side of the building, and at the critical moment, the female police officer reached out and grabbed her firmly.

However, due to her care for life and respect for her occupation, she still had the courage to stand forward and while risking her own safety save this young female. This is the kind of police that is in the hearts of the people!
The one thing worth our satisfaction is that the journalist recorded this female police flower’s beautiful appearance and her life-saving actions. In the midst of netizen discussions, the one thing that has not changed is what this female police flower has been called: most beautiful police flower! Now let us keep in mind the respect we have for this female police flower while we view the thrilling life and death pictures of what happened!

Anhui woman took off her pants and used it to attack traffic officers.

Fierce woman who took off her pants to whip a police officer sentenced to 8 months

This old lady is surnamed Chu, is 55-years-old this year, and is from Langxi County of Anhui province. According to the old lady, both of her parents passed away when she was small, was raised by her paternal grandmother, later married, and gave birth to a son and daughter, but because she didn’t want to spend her entire life in her hometown farming, over 10 years ago she came to Nanjing to make a living.
Illiterate an without any skills, it was impossible to find a job, so she survived by picking up garbage and panhandling around the train station. Later, she met a 70-year-old elderly Nanjing man, and the two of them rented a place to live together. Seeing that she had nothing to do, the old man bought her an electric tricycle, and she began operating as an illegal pedicab near the train station, each day able to earn a little money.
On 2010 August 3rd, around 12 noon, she was carrying three people heading towards Zhongyang North Road. When she reached the red traffic light at the Zhongyang North Road overpass and seeing that there weren’t many cars, she tried running the red light, and unexpectedly hit a man. “He wanted compensation, I would only agree to paying him 2 RMB, so he called the police.” Very quickly, traffic police and security rushed to the scene, instructing them to return with them to the police station for mediation, but she was afraid her vehicle would be impounded and in her anxiety took off her denim jeans and began whipping the traffic officer with them. Suddenly, when the pant leg hit the back of the traffic officer’s head, he passed out. Later diagnosis said that the traffic officer had a superficial injury to his head and a concussion.
“At the time, I was naked from the waist down, and a lot of people were looking on. The cop was a guy, and didn’t dare face me. I used this kind of method to threaten the traffic officer, so he wouldn’t be able to do his job.” Only after her arrest did she know she had gotten herself in serious trouble. But during questioning she refused to give her details, even lying to police: “My family is all dead, all we have is a son and he is an idiot!” Only after the police investigated and discovered her real situation did she say that her lies were because she was afraid of her behavior embarrassing her family.
When the police found the old lady’s “husband”, he said, “She’s a stubborn person, rather surly, and quite fierce! Over the years, she’s rarely returned home.”
[...]
After the trial, this reporter was able to exchange a few words with the old lady in the detention room. When her behavior that day was brought up, she suddenly burst into tears, repeatedly saying that she was very sorry to that traffic officer. “I didn’t mean to knock him out, hitting him was just to get him to leave, I didn’t think he would pass out, I’m sorry!” the old lady said while wiping her tears. She added that she has already realized her mistake, and after getting out will no longer wantonly hit people.

The old lady, Chu, crying behind bars, apologetic.

Suicide Jumper Pushed Off Bridge By Old Man Passing By

china-suicide-jumper-pushed-off-passerby-01
In Guangdong, a suicidal man was pushed off a bridge by a man who made his way past authorities to climb onto the beams. Xinhua has more details:
Chen [Chen Fuchao 陈富超] wanted to kill himself because he was in 2 million yuan of debt following a failed construction project.
After knowing the situation, Lai [Lai Jiansheng 赖健生] volunteered to talk with the Chen to persuade him. After denied by the police, he broken through a police cordon and climbed up to where Chen sat.
Lai first greeted Chen with a handshake, and then he pushed him off the bridge. Chen fell 8 meters onto a partially-inflated emergency air cushion, damaging his spine and elbow in the fall.
“I pushed him off because jumpers like Chen are very selfish. Their action violates a lot of public interest,” Lai said.

From Guangzhou Daily, via sohu, selectively translated by CDT:

Lai Jiansheng explained to his wife that after he approached Chen Fuchao, he asked “Brother, what are you doing?” “I’ve investment debts, people owe me money.” Lai said: “You know making investments is risky; don’t disturb public order just because of your own selfish interests.” He recalled that after negotiations, Chen Fuchao clearly did not have any interest. After this, Li Jiansheng silently decided to move his hand and “use hard methods to provoke a response.”
Lai later told his wife that he didn’t think there would be any serious harm, as there was an air-filled cushion below.
According to the report, there are three possible reasons for Lai’s actions:

china-suicide-jumper-pushed-off-passerby-03
Reason 1: Mental illness
61-year-old Liang Yi [Lai's wife] said that after the time of his enlistment in Hainan, Lai Jiansheng has had mental problems. He has had to take medication for the past 40 years.

Reason 2: Honor
According to reports, in early 2006, Lai Jiansheng saved a youth blocking the road on Luoqi Bridge. After the incident, local authorities awarded him with “having boldly done a righteous act,” 10,000 yuan, and a certificate of merit. “Let him receive society’s affirming sentiments.”
Family members reckon that that day, “his mind must have definitely relived that moment,” and wanted to have Chen Fuchao safely come down and let traffic return to normal.

Reason 3: Righteousness
The journalist interviewed the Lai’s neighborhood, the Guangzhou Motorworks dormitory area. Community members all said the same thing: “He was a very candid person, really carried a sense of justice.”
Chen is currently recovering in a hospital; the fees are estimated to be very costly.
