Naked woman falls from condo in Bagan Dalam

BUTTERWORTH: A naked woman, believed to be fleeing from her boyfriend, fell two floors into a swimming pool at a condominium unit in Bagan Dalam.

It is not known whether the woman, in her 20s, jumped or was pushed from the eighth-floor unit after the couple had quarrelled and the boyfriend assaulted her.

Sources said the victim? s dress could have been torn off during the assault.

She was rushed to the Seberang Jaya Hospital with fractured hips and her condition was reported to be serious but stable.

Several residents claimed to have heard the couple quarrelling earlier and one of them heard the woman screaming for help before she was found in the swimming pool around 6pm on Friday..

A police team from the serious crimes division subsequently rushed to the scene and arrested the boyfriend, also in his 20s, after forcing open the condominium door.

He was found to have slashed himself on the body and was detained to help in investigations.

Police also recovered two packets of white powder, believed to be heroin, in the premises.

According to the residents, the couple moved into the unit about a month ago.
